Jensen's Gin Distillery
Craft your own bottle of gin in a hands-on distilling masterclass at Bermondsey's own Jensen's. Choose your botanicals, distil your spirit, and take home a personalised bottle — a date souvenir that actually gets used.

Maltby Street Market
Head south to Bermondsey for this intimate street food market tucked under the railway arches. Browse artisan producers, grab a coffee, and soak up the neighbourhood buzz.

José Tapas Bar
2 min walk from the market. Tiny, standing-room-only Spanish tapas bar that's consistently rated one of London's best. The Ibérico ham and padron peppers are unmissable.

Bermondsey Arts Club
5 min walk down Bermondsey Street. A beautifully converted Victorian public toilet turned cocktail bar. Yes, really. The drinks are superb and the story alone is worth the visit.
Comments
Half Hitch gin class was brilliant — we still have our personalised bottles on the shelf. Great date souvenir.
José Tapas Bar is standing room only and tiny, get there before 6 or you'll be waiting ages. The ibérico ham is worth it though.
We went at 5:30 and walked straight in, by 6:15 there was a queue out the door.
