Long Biên Bridge
Walk across the historic French-era cantilever bridge (built 1899–1902). Trains still rumble across alongside pedestrians and motorbikes. The Red River views are spectacular, especially at sunrise.

Long Biên Morning Market
At the bridge's east end. A chaotic, colourful wholesale fruit and flower market that peaks before dawn. Even arriving at 7am you'll catch the tail end — mountains of tropical fruit and fragrant flowers.

Phở Cuốn Hương Mai
10 min walk south back towards the Old Quarter side. Famous for phở cuốn — fresh rice noodle rolls filled with stir-fried beef and herbs. A lighter, fresher take on phở that's uniquely Hanoian.

Loading T Café
10 min walk. A quirky, retro-style café popular with young Hanoians. Great Vietnamese drip coffee and fruit smoothies. The rooftop has lovely Old Quarter views.
