Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex
Start at the grand Ba Đình Square and explore the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex. Walk through the manicured gardens, see the Presidential Palace, and visit Ho Chi Minh's modest stilt house.

One Pillar Pagoda
5 min walk. One of Vietnam's most iconic temples, built in 1049 to resemble a lotus blossom rising from water. Small but extraordinarily photogenic.

Bún Chả Hương Liên
15 min walk. The famous 'Obama Bún Chả' — this is where Anthony Bourdain and Barack Obama ate together in 2016. The charcoal-grilled pork with noodles and dipping broth is perfection.

Cộng Cà Phê
5 min walk. Communist-kitsch themed café chain beloved by locals. Order the famous coconut coffee (cà phê cốt dừa) — frozen coconut cream blended with Vietnamese coffee. Retro propaganda decor is very Instagrammable.
